Johnny Depp stars in Dior commercial
To celebrate the launch of its brand new scent, Sauvage, French fashion house Dior has chosen Johnny Depp as the face of the campaign.
The commercial takes the shape of a short movie in which we can delightedly admire the actor and sex symbol in a special search for freedom. Directed by Jean Baptiste Mondino, it “tells a story of freedom and emotion; a man and his instincts”.
The film begins in a metropolitan setting, with lights and silence only being broken by a rock sound. And there he is, Johnny Depp playing guitar and looking cooler than ever. But something is on his mind. Looking unstoppable in his mission, he leaves everything behind and drives into the desert…
The cologne, which is also Dior’s first fragrance for men, is related to a mystical experience, something that cannot be seen and that only a free and wild spirit would be able to understand – “magic” as Johnny calls it.
