We have seen yet another action-packed year in the music sphere, with the biggest names in the mainstream providing some great moments. Highlights and memorable moments include Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ addictive hit Uptown Funk, which continued to be a strong musical force from last winter, the abrupt announcement of One Direction’s hiatus and the recent return of Adele, with her record-breaking new album 25.

2015 is guaranteed to finish in style, with some must-see concerts in London this December. Here is a selection to look out for:

Kylie Minogue at the Royal Albert Hall

Australian pop superstar Kylie Minogue will mark another special moment in her illustrious career as she makes her first headline appearance at the glamorous Royal Albert Hall this month. A one-off concert celebrating the release of her festive album Kylie Christmas, the night will feature brand new songs, faithful classics and Christmas numbers to enrich the holiday spirit.

A Winged Victory for the Sullen at the Barbican Centre

The Barbican Centre will be the stage for ambient musical duo A Winged Victory for the Sullen, in what is anticipated to be a mesmerising evening of beautiful, slow-burning soundscapes. The spellbinding sonic world of Dustin O’Halloran and Adam Wiltzie will be the ideal environment in which to wind down and escape the bitter wintry weather. Blending various instrumental and electronic textures to stir up music that is surreal and captivating in equal measure, they are one to watch out for in the contemporary classical music scene.

Ellie Goulding and Friends at the Roundhouse

The spirit of giving is what makes Christmas a special occasion. Ellie Goulding will embrace the festive spirit in an exclusive one-off show at the Roundhouse in Camden, supporting the charity Streets of London, which aims to help the homeless. Curated by the British popstar, the night will feature Goulding alongside a star-studded line-up of musicians and singers, so keep an eye out for the acts announced in the coming days!
