House of Holland launches first interiors range
House of Holland has teamed up with British household furnishing retailer Habitat to create its first homeware range. Using fun and eccentric prints from the brand’s SS16 catwalk collection, the collection has its signature aesthetic written all over it.
The playful prints are inspired by the film adaptation of the Hunter S. Thompson cult novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Expect to lounge around on blue paradise leaf-patterned sofas whilst snuggling with an animal printed throw. The reversible cushions are a particular highlight that feature quirky bug illustrations from American artist Suzan Pitt. It’s safe to say that the assortment will create a psychedelic ambiance in any home that you’ll be trippin’ on for days.
“You can get naturally high on colour and pattern. Your home can really change the way you feel,” says Holland.
House of Holland has jumped on to the popular bandwagon of fashion labels, expanding their product range into homeware. H&M and Zara’s stylish home furnishing assortments have become just as popular as their clothing and accessories. Meanwhile, Swedish mega homeware retailer IKEA has recently launched its first ever fashion designer collaboration with edgy British designer Kate Eary. Indeed, the fusion of fashion and furniture has become a popular trend that additional well-known brands are guaranteed to follow suit.
