The House of Peroni launches stylish residency on 19th May at Proud East

The House of Peroni is extremely excited to announce Margherita Maccapani Missoni as the “residency master of style” this year. Margherita, who is part of the esteemed Italian fashion dynasty Missoni, is working with The House of Peroni to create the interiors of the London residency inspired by her love of her home country.

The theme of this year’s residency is “For the Love of Italy – Amare l’Italia”, and Margherita will be taking inspiration from the beautiful Italian landscape and sumptuous family gatherings in her home to design spaces within the residency. Margherita will be drawing on her Italian heritage and its unique culture to immerse visitors of the Residency in the world of Italian Style. Her creative journey and references will be bought to life by highly acclaimed, London-based artist and set designer Petra Storrs. Renowned for working with artists including Lady Gaga, Florence and the Machine and Birdy, Petra Storrs will be realising Margherita’s vision, creating fun and immersive spaces for visitors to enjoy delicious Italian cuisine cooked by top Italian chef Francesco Mazzei.

Margherita Maccapani Missoni said: “It’s an honour to join The House of Peroni team and have the opportunity to showcase my love of Italy at the London Residency. I have been lucky enough to grow up in a beautiful part of Northern Italy, where I am constantly taking inspiration from my surroundings, and from the beautiful view I have of the Monte Rosa. Native flowers, family gatherings and Lucio Fontana, the Italian philosopher of art, all shape my creative output and have helped me curate the space in the next residency.”

Joining Margherita and master of taste Francesco Mazzei is award winning master mixologist Simone Caporale, formerly assistant head bartender at The Artesian at The Langham Hotel. Simone will be creating a delicious menu featuring Peroni Nastro Azzurro infused drinks, served in a unique and immersive way.

The House of Peroni Residency opens to the public on 19th May at Proud East in Haggerston. A bespoke series of events including mixology classes, Italian culinary masterclasses and private dining experiences are on sale via The House of Peroni website.
