Halloween make-up inspiration

Halloween make-up inspiration

Autumn is finally here and, objectively, the three best things about autumn are 1) pumpkin spice latte, 2) crunchy leaves and 3) Halloween! Two of these you can enjoy right now while you plan for your Halloween costume. Now, you could just overdo it on the bronzer and buy a cheap blond wig but Halloween should be spooky fun, not a reminder of everyday horrors. So instead consider these cool make-up ideas as you sip your PSL.

Pennywise

The remake of It has been an astounding success, with an 85% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an estimated $117 million opening at the US box office. So for this Halloween we’re calling it and saying Pennywise will be the number one costume. Be playful with your make-up, you’re a clown after all and that’s what It is all about (that’s what we assume at least, we’re too scared to watch it).

Winifred Sanderson

For all lifelong Halloween fanatics what better costume is there than one of the three witches from Hocus Pocus? Get two of your most wicked sisters together and spend the night doing evil deeds.

Wonder Woman

If 2017 brought us one thing to be proud of it is Diana. Honour the Amazonian warrior with this kickass Wonder Woman face paint.

Harley Quinn

If the good girl isn’t for you then there is always Harley Quinn and her countless iterations. The latest of course being Margot Robbie with her dip dye ponytails (yes yes yes!). Go for the simple classic look or turn it up to 11 in true Halloween fashion.

The classic feline

What if you got so stuck into all the scary movie marathons on TV that you forgot to sort out a costume? Then you run to Claire’s for some last minute cat ears. Yeah, it’s a cliche but it’s a good one.

Pickle Rick

Een bericht gedeeld door Lauren Beckman (@venomtoyaveins) op 21 Sep 2017 om 1:24 PDT

And what if you have too much time? Well, then you go all out. One of this year’s biggest memes has to be Pickle Rick. Sure it’s a ton of work but once it’s done there is no party you cannot crash by barging in shouting “I’m Pickle Riiiiick!”
