“Animal love to beat drums!”: Animal and Floyd Pepper on The Muppets Mayhem

“Animal love to beat drums!”: Animal and Floyd Pepper on The Muppets Mayhem

It’s been a long, arduous wait for the Electric Mayhem acolytes of this world for arguably the most anticipated debut LP in popular music history. Repeatedly delayed, postponed and seemingly abandoned, Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem ultimately resolved to keep the Rock ‘n’ Roll flame alive on the road in a hedonistic, perpetual tour which left little to no time and energy for studio craft…until now. Chronicled in the new Disney+ series, The Muppets Mayhem, is the band’s attempt to capture the raw energy of Electric Mayhem on record for the first time, and get up to speed with a modern, ever-changing music industry in the process.

The Upcoming spoke to stars of the show, and the ever-present rhythm section of the legendary rockers, Animal and Floyd Pepper, about getting the album off the ground, the commitment they share for their craft and lunch.
