“I don’t like doing dull things; I like the extremes, I like the challenge”: Sasha Pieterse and Adele Parks on The Image of You

Bold new thriller The Image of You is based on the international bestseller book by Adele Parks. It follows the story of two identical twins called Anna and Zoe (Sasha Pieterse), as the narrative delves into their family, their romantic encounters and shocking secrets that have been buried for years. With a script from seasoned writer Chris Silverston, the gritty yet polished drama is directed by Jeff Fisher, and brought to screen with a brilliant cast that includes Mira Sorvino and Nester Carbonell in emotive roles as the twins’ parents, Alexia and David.

When Anna goes on a dating site and meets a handsome stock trader called Nick (Parker Young), her twin Zoe is intrigued to find out what her sister Anna is getting herself into with him. She sets out to uncover the truth, but then forges her own web of lies that rise to the surface as the thriller unfolds.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of speaking to Parks about her original inspiration for the story, having the book adapted for screen and being part of that process, as well as hearing from Pieterse about taking on such a complex dual role as the twins, working alongside Parker Young in the steamier scenes and the elements of crime and horror that weave their way through the story arc.
