“It was wild”: John Grimes, Amy Kenyon, Freddie Powell, Helen Flanagan, Dani Imbert, Toby Aromolaran and Curtis Pritchard on Celebrity Ex on the Beach season four

Heading into the fourth series, the popular reality show, Celebrity Ex on The Beach, returns to screens, where viewers will see eight famous faces travel to a tropical location before coming face to face with their former partners. The catch is, the celebrities have no idea which of their previous romantic liaisons will appear on the island and whether there will be drama, repercussion or rekindling in their midst.

With Daisy May Cooper narrating, the series format gives the contestants time to settle in and get to know each other on a date night before facing their exes. Promising sun, sea and sex, when sparks start to fly between some of the glamorous contenders after their trysts, the introduction of their old flames delivers some unwelcome surprises.

The Upcoming were invited to interview the cast aboard a luxury boat where they divulged their reasons for taking part in the show, their trepidation at which of their exes would turn up and how they hoped to find romance on the reality show. We spoke to John Grimes and Amy Kenyon about their experience on the show, how anxious they felt wondering which of their ex-partners would turn up and what they hoped viewers would like about watching the show.

Freddie Powell, Helen Flanagan and Dani Imbert discussed what they were looking for in a relationship and how they would describe themselves as a romantic partner. They also talked about what they have taken away from the experience and learned about themselves.

We chatted to Toby Aromolaran and Curtis Pritchard about coming on board to the series, the drama that unfolded during their time on the island and what they had in mind as their idea of a perfect date should romance come their way.
