A watch is one of those accessories that you can never have enough of. With so many different variations; digital or analogue, leather or rubber straps, sports watch or dress watch, a TAG Heuer or a Rolex, the choice of timepiece to wear on your wrist says a lot about you as a person. The same goes for fictional characters and their watches too. You would never see Mr. Bond without a flash luxury timepiece, would you?

Blood Diamond – Breitling Chrono Avenger

Everyone’s favourite, Leonardo DiCaprio, starred in the 2006 film Blood Diamond, and is seen wearing a Breitling Chrono Avenger watch. The exclusive sports watch the world renowned actor wears has a black dial and solid titanium 44mm case, with a brown calf leather strap. The timepiece is also shockproof and water-resistant.

Skyfall – Omega Seamaster

Everyone knows, you’ll never see James Bond with anything but a luxury timepiece on his wrist. In 2012’s Skyfall, Bond, played by Daniel Craig, is seen wearing a watch from the Omega Seamaster collection. It may not come as a surprise, as Craig is an ambassador for the Omega brand and Omega watches have been known to feature in several other Bond films in the past too.

Look out for the new Bond Aqua Terra model, which Omega have launched in anticipation of the new James Bond film scheduled to be released this year: Spectre. What’s more, it is limited to 15,007 pieces worldwide.

Miami Vice – IWC Aquatimer

The legend that is Jamie Foxx was seen wearing an IWC Aquatimer in the iconic  film, Miami Vice. The features and style of this timepiece fit perfectly with the action film, as it is durable, water-resistant and suitable to wear at any time of the day, with its lightweight titanium case.

2001: A Space Odyssey – Hamilton

Hamilton watches are renowned timepieces in the Hollywood industry, and the brand are constantly working with directors, costume designer and technical staff, and the chronographs are worn by many actors and actresses to fit the script and characters they portray. The science fiction film 2001: A Space Odyssey featured a Hamilton watch and table clock, which was designed exclusively for the movie. Due to a long tradition of creating timepieces with exclusive, out-of-this-world designs and functionalities, Hamilton timepieces are much coveted and offer watch connoisseurs the opportunity to get hold of their timepieces too.

Le Mans – Tag Heuer Monaco

Steve McQueen wasn’t the only one who stole the show in Le Mans. So too did the Tag Heuer Monaco timepiece in this iconic film. When this movie was released, this watch was only a year old, but since then has grown to be a watch-lover’s favourite. The square case makes it a unique, must-have accessory, and it is also water-resistant with a brushed stainless steel case.

Fast and Furious 6 – Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Chronograph

There was no better or more appropriate watch to be featured in the sixth Fast and Furious film alongside Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson than the Jaeger-LeCoultre. The Deep Sea Chronograph was ideal for the movie, as it was durable enough to keep up with all of the high-speed action and high-impact scenes.
