This evening we spoke to some of the cast and crew at the London premiere of Lion, starring Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman.

Dev Patel spoke about what it meant for him to tell the real-life story of Saroo, a man who traced the family he got separated from as a child through Google maps. He also talked about the role technology plays in the film and how important the adoption story at the heart of the feature was for him.

Nicole Kidman spoke about how much she loves the London Film Festival and what it was like working with Dev Patel.

We also spoke to the film’s composers Dustin O’Halloran and Volker Bertelmann, who told us about the process that went into the movie’s composition, how their unconventional backgrounds influenced their style in this film and which soundtracks they have really admired in the last five years.
