Aziz Ansari’s Good Fortune to hit UK cinemas this October with Keanu Reeves, Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer

Lionsgate UK has released the trailer and first-look imagery for Good Fortune, the highly anticipated feature directorial debut from Aziz Ansari. The comedy, which boasts an all-star cast including Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh and Keanu Reeves, will arrive in UK cinemas on 17^th October 2025, following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Written and directed by Ansari (Master of None), Good Fortune tells the story of an awkward but well-intentioned angel named Gabriel (Reeves), whose celestial intervention wreaks unexpected havoc in the lives of two very different men: a struggling gig worker (played by Ansari himself) and a wealthy venture capitalist (Rogen). In classic screwball style, divine plans go hilariously awry as heavenly meddling meets earthly chaos.

The film marks Ansari’s first turn behind the camera on a feature, reuniting him with longtime collaborator Alan Yang (Parks and Recreation), who produces alongside Anthony Katagas (12 Years a Slave). Palmer (Nope) and Oh (Killing Eve) round out the ensemble, bringing additional star power and comedic bite.

With Reeves embracing a rare comic role as a bumbling angel and Ansari returning to the kind of sharp social satire that defined his television work, Good Fortune looks poised to be a witty, irreverent exploration of class, fate and human fallibility – with a celestial twist.
