First trailer lands for Avatar: Fire and Ash as James Cameron’s sci-fi saga continues this December

The next chapter in James Cameron’s blockbuster sci-fi epic has been officially unveiled, with the first trailer for Avatar: Fire and Ash debuting ahead of its highly anticipated cinematic release on 19th December 2025. The third instalment in the record-breaking Avatar franchise promises to take audiences deeper into the world of Pandora with new characters, creatures and biomes, presented in Cameron’s signature jaw-dropping visual style.

Following its big-screen teaser debut alongside The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the trailer offers a first look at the latest evolution in the saga of Marine-turned-Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and their family, as they navigate rising tensions across Pandora. As old enemies resurface and new alliances form, Fire and Ash sets the stage for what appears to be the most emotionally and visually intense chapter yet.

Directed and co-written by James Cameron, alongside Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Avatar: The Way of Water), the film continues the story arc introduced in the previous instalments while expanding the mythology of Pandora. The cast includes returning stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Kate Winslet, Britain Dalton, Trinity Bliss, Jack Champion and Bailey Bass, along with new faces such as Oona Chaplin.

With formats ranging from IMAX 3D and Dolby Cinema to 4DX and ScreenX, Avatar: Fire and Ash is positioned as a must-see theatrical event, designed to fully immerse audiences once more in Cameron’s visionary alien world.
