Into the Gloss: Your personal tour into the makeup bags of the fashion elite

Few of us can say we have a beauty editor or supermodel for a best friend who can bestow upon us the kind of trusted “insider only” beauty info we so long to have. However, Into The Gloss is the next best thing. This blog is like having your very own invite into the makeup bags and bathrooms of the fashion elite.

Started by 26-year-old Emily Weiss in 2010, Into The Gloss chronicles the highly detailed daily beauty routines of international fashion insiders, ranging from what face wash brand they use to their favourite lipstick shade, and even where they go to get their facials.

Editor of Into the Gloss, Emily Weiss, says, “You’ll find influences from editors to stylists and models divulging their carefully curated products, routines and inspirations. You’ll find makeup artists, hair stylists and myriad other specialists talking about what makes them tick, their top tools, and their visions of what’s to come. You’ll see backstage. You’ll see product highlights. You’ll also see the new kids on the block – the assistants, the up-and-comers – along with the intriguing characters out and about, who are shaping our idea of modern beauty.”

The best thing about this website is that you won’t be inundated by celebrities. Weiss chooses to focus on real-life looks of people in the industry and on the street, rather than covering the latest Angelina Jolie red carpet look.  With less than two years under their belt, Into The Gloss and Emily Weiss are sure garnering some international attention. We have a feeling we will be seeing plenty of these two in the future. Check it out here.
