Fast forward into spring with Mary Meyer

Fast forward into spring with Mary Meyer

It is almost mid-March and in my opinion that counts as nearly spring. Like me, no doubt your mind is already focused towards your spring wardrobe or perhaps the lack of it. Then of course we have the question of cash flow and the current troubled economic climate, all posing the question: How do I update my spring wardrobe for less? The answer: US label, Mary Meyer Clothing.

Mary Meyer’s pieces should be a staple for those louche, bohemian girls who like their clothes to have a rock ‘n’ roll twist that is both edgy and chic. Think grown-up Agyness Deyn/ Kristen Stewart sexy, that is a break from the norm. Featuring a darker colour palette that is bound to get you noticed, Meyer’s designs also make for clothes that effortlessly transition from day to night. Mary Meyer Clothing oozes Venice Beach meets Brooklyn (where all Mary Meyer Clothing is handmade) girl cool vibe, and her background in the arts is evident through her use of graphic prints.

A recent visit to the label’s site revealed a sale that fills virtually every requirement the girl about town might need, to put some pep in her step for spring.  Whilst Mary Meyer Clothing currently offers a full-priced range and sale offering on-site, the real spring/summer bargains are to be found in the $30 (approx. £22) sale section where you can snap up t-shirts, bodysuits, shorts and beach-ready totes, and even an ultra-bohemian fringed shoulder bag, rock star worthy leather and mixed chain earrings for total effect, all for a jaw-droppingly low aforementioned price.

Top picks:

Black Crescent Moon Tee

Custom Baggu with Plate

Long Sleeve Body Suit – Earthquake

Thermal Tank – Galaxy Splatter & Wide Leg Pant

Shorts – Black/Black Floral

Party Purse – Galaxy Splatter

Leather Earring & Mixed Chain Earring

Run. Don’t walk. Give the Topshop end-of-sale rail a miss this year and hit up Mary Meyer Clothing for original pieces that you’re guaranteed your best friend, or half of London, won’t be wearing.
