Head out in a Hollyhood this spring

Head out in a Hollyhood this spring

The weatherman may say it’s raining but we’ll be doing less complaining thanks to Chouchou and their ingenious Hollyhood.

The uniquely designed hoods mean that you can protect your tresses from the wind and the rain, and still manage to look effortlessly chic. The accessories, designed as stand alone pieces, also double up as funky scarves. The Hollyhood, named after their first client Holly, is the Glaswegian-Italian based ethical label’s speciality. Each piece is created by hand in their Glasgow studio, using a wide range of quality textiles. The designer Italian born Sylvia Pellegrino selects fabrics, many vintage, from Italy and across the globe to create her individual pieces.

Hollyhood designed by ChouChou (2)

We especially love the Djoser at £86. Its geometric pattern in metallic fabric is combined with two other cotton textiles, creating a really diverse look. The cosy oversized hood hangs over the shoulders down to the navel with two handy pockets. It can be casually draped over the shoulders or across the neck, and styled in various ways, depending on your mood. Another one-of-a-kind-piece from the designers’ latest collection is the Iput. Priced at £79, the Iput features intricate details such as hand cut golden leather patches, braided multi-coloured scarf and jewelled studs.

For vintage meets street, the classic Hollyhood Pleats design at £45, has proved a hit, available in rose pink, with a cream and brown detailed scarf.

If you like your accessories bold, the multi-coloured Native design is sure to help you stand out from the crowd.

You can also pick your own fabrics to create a bespoke personalised piece. Available online with prices varying from £40-£80, choose from a variety of styles. Whether your style is vintage chic, sporty or street, Chouchou has got you covered.
