Cotton Love: vintage clothing, for modern living

Cotton Love: vintage clothing, for modern living

Cotton Love is an online shopping experience for women and men, with roots in Newcastle upon Tyne. This emporium is the go-to for vintage-inspired looks complete with modern and contemporary twists. These looks are hard-to-find, one-of-a-kind pieces with a very reasonable price tag to match – most dresses sell for around £40, but look well over £140.

The designers range from Jil Sander to unknown vintage brands; however, if vintage is your style you will have plenty to choose from. The brand only sells these one-off pieces in pristine condition. The downside is that there are limited sizes available; some pieces only have one size offered. All items are impeccably styled and are photographed with a minimalistic white background. It’s almost like a blank canvas, where you can take these original garments and turn them into beautiful pieces of fashionable art!

The menswear line is filled with jackets, trousers, shorts and button-downs. There are really interesting pieces on offer, such as the Vintage Grey German Naval Rubber Submariner Jacket for £55. It’s an original 1950s or 60s German naval submariner jacket that features a rubber outer shell and cotton lining. We’re sure you won’t have to worry about showing up to the party and worrying about someone else having the same jacket as you when you wear that!

The women’s line has a wide array of silky maxi dresses, textured pants and vintage, sheer lace blouses. Cotton Love have put together some really unlikely combinations to display their items, such as a black trucker hat with a beautiful pleated skirt and a colourful striped blouse. It is these unlikely pairings that really make a regular black skirt stand out above the rest! Our favourite piece is the Vintage Orange Fine Padded Trouser, on sale for £55. Waterproof pants that don’t make you look like you’ve been skiing all day? Definitely a statement piece!

Check out these really unique items on the Cotton Love website here, or follow them on Twitter @cottonlove1.
