Vintage style, sustain and nostalgia from Jarvis and Janis

Vintage style, sustain and nostalgia from Jarvis and Janis

With the rise of vintage fashion, the independent boutique Jarvis and Janis has it spot on. Carefully sourced clothing and reworked vintage from the 60s, 70s and 80s creates the nostalgic feel of the shop.

Their motto “Style, Sustain and Nostalgia” is woven through the idea of the shop, believing that dressing for the environment can be achieved quite easily by utilising used and vintage garments. Along with working against the churning out of fast fashion, vintage clothing also comes with its own quirkiness; each piece of pre-owned vintage clothing has a story of its own that adds charm and detail.

Focusing on quality and attention to detail, Jarvis and Janis’s pieces are sourced from all over the world and are sold through their online shop, on ASOS Marketplace and at vintage fairs and events across the country. With the aim of always being honest in the description of their products, it is refreshing to know that you are going to receive exactly what you ordered.

Having a browse through the ASOS Marketplace shop introduces the customer to a whole world of gorgeous vintage buys that inspire creativity and excitement. In fact, there are a few garments which I’ve come across on the website that I just cannot get out of my head:

The vintage 60s shift dress (£34.99), has all of the punch of summer in a yellow printed pattern on a stark white background.

This dainty vintage 80s peach floral midi dress suits the colours and weathers of all seasons (£14.99).

This floral blouse is voluminous in its bold print and has a  cute scalloped neckline and spot-on-trend peplum (£16.99) .

So check the website out here for more unmissable vintage, thrifting and styling tips, along with all sorts of other fashion related gorgeousness, or shop here.
