Step into a world where imagination meets wearable art.  Rosita Bonita adornments all grow from a foundation of Illustration.  “The creative collection tells a story and suggests a cast of characters summoning up a fantasy world to slip in to, away from the daily grind.” Rosita Bonita’s collections are filled with interesting illustrative artworks, turning lemons into a quirky bib necklace, or a floral illustration, into an amazing rainbow flowered earrings.

Having started in 2009, Rosita Bonita began creating handcrafted jewellery and accessories in leather.  The goal was to produce unique and collectable adornments that combine classic glamour with a sense of humour and the fun of dressing up. With a diverse background spanning from model making, set installation, vintage store visuals, and jewellery design, she took a very tactile approach to her own jewellery line.

Handcrafted at her studio home in Hackney, London, the pieces begin as an original illustration screen, printed, or embossed with gold foil onto leather. There is a great mix of collaged necklaces, brooches, and earrings, backed with firm saddler leather. Each piece is mixed with vintage glass-beaded chains, and gold-plated chains and fittings.  Most recently added to the mix was a collection of one-off screen printed lampshades and frames.

We are really digging the Victorian-styled illustrations mixed with a modern look. Some of the most popular designs include the Roses Necklace (£126), a sure statement piece. Inspired by a Victorian sentimental keepsake, and the giving of roses to signify love. Another popular item are the Rose Earrings (£20). A screen printed rose onto soft pink leather, adds the perfect mix of feminine-meets-Rock’n’Roll to your outfit.

To look at the whole collection or to purchase these really unique pieces check out the RositaBonita website.
