Fall head over heels for Depeapa design

Fall head over heels for Depeapa design

Since she was a child, Spanish-born Verónica de Arriba has drawn. She studied fine arts and after finishing her studies she began working as a graphic designer. One day in late 2007, Verónica decided that her illustrations needed shaking up – something that brought her drawings to life and gave them a purpose. This is how Depeapa began.

Verónica didn’t intend to sell any of her work to begin with. As an illustrator and crafter, she simply started out making her items as a hobby – something she refers to as ‘a project of love’. However, after posting her work on the internet, Verónica began receiving requests from both individuals and shops. Since then, she hasn’t looked back.

From pillowcases to necklaces, Depeapa has developed into an accessory heaven. Taking inspiration from anything she finds beautiful, Verónica has managed to create a perfect combination of drawing and design. Her work has a distinctive stamp of creativity on it and that is what it makes it so special.

We can’t help but love every one of the necklace designs that Depeapa has to offer. Illustrated people and animals (priced at £16.72) are a reoccurring theme but have an added ‘cuteness’ to them that makes you need each and every one in the collection. Screen-printed bags (between £14 and £17) and printed images are all in our favourites, especially the Girl On Stairs print (£18) that would make an adorable addition to any home.

Fabric patterns are next on the agenda for Depeapa, but until then, discover more of Verónica’s work here.
