Facial mists: the must-have summer beauty products

You might think of facial mists as glorified water in a spray bottle, but they are so much more! The right facial mist can soothe and moisturise skin, give your tired skin or make-up a boost during a busy day and are an essential product for those long, hot summer days. A quick spritz and you’ll be good to go! Even better, most double up as a toner and who doesn’t appreciate a multipurpose product? But which facial mists are worth the investment?

Caudalie Beauty Elixir – 100ml – £32

Cream of the crop is the cult Beauty Elixir from Caudalie, the French luxury skincare brand whose products are known for their exceptional anti-oxidant properties. The Beauty Elixir  has soared in popularity since the likes of Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Aniston professed their love for the product. A firm must-have for celebrities, models and beauty bloggers. The award-winning Beauty Elixir smoothes features, tightens pores and provides an instant burst of radiance to the complexion.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist – 100ml – £7

A very affordable range of face mists are available at the Body Shop, but the Vitamin E is our favourite for its delicate rosewater scent. A quick pick-me-up for dull and tired looking skin providing moisture and protection, but a light layer is also great for setting makeup – plus the added benefit of Vitamin E!

Lush Tea Tree Water – 100g – £3.75

For less than a fiver, the Lush Toner Waters are an absolute bargain! They have a plethora of use – under moisturiser as a toner, to remove leftover make-up after cleansing and to refresh your skin throughout the day. They come in a variety of types, but the tea tree version has antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobal properties, which are especially good for skin that is prone to emergencies – spritz away and your skin will be weather-proof all summer long!

A revitalising and hydrating mist with the added aromatherapeutic benefits of frankincense oil – tones and rejuvenates the skin, while simultaneously calms the senses.

Shu Uemura Deepsea Water – 150ml – £16.50

The Japanese brand has numerous bestselling and cult products for a reason – it can do no wrong! Shu Uemura believes that the level of water in the skin is important in determining its quality. Deepsea water is taken from the depths of the ocean where sunlight does not reach. The mists are completely free of artificial colour, but the lightly scented aromas give a refreshing feel to the skin – in mint, rose, lavendar, rosemary, rose and also available fragrance free.

Acai Balance Protecting Toning Mist – 175ml – £23.50

Enriched with anti-oxidants, this clarifying toning mist balances and refines skin tone and texture, tightens pores and also fortifies the skin with a barrier of protection against environment aggressors. It’s 100% natural as well as free from parabens and silicons.
