When art meets a big boom and some nails

When art meets a big boom and some nails

Nail artist Emma Zentner has gone beyond normal nail painting to create masterpieces and it seems that everyone can’t get enough of her website Boom Nails, including Tanya Lacey and Eliza Doolittle.

As nail art goes, this is of Olympics standard and here at The Upcoming we bring you a little teaser of our favourites before letting you explore on your own.

The patterned nails have been inspired by tribal designs and ancient civilisations. Our favourites are the Aztec nails, which can come in a range of background colours. If yellow is just too springy for you, have a look at the other inspirational designs; Maze, Zigzag and Chevrons, all are incredibly detailed and the shape is sculpted and feminine.

There has been a recent explosion in all things animalistic in fashion and nails have not escaped. Boom Nails brings you Crabman, Chick and Penguin. Most of us tend to think that animal prints are for the slightly younger, but these nails have a dynamic fresh approach and take cute to a sassy level.

With a rise in everything vintage, Boom Nails has not been left behind taking inspiration from works of art and objects. The ideas are wearable as well as inventive: Cupcake, Lifering and Illuminati to name just a few really caught our eye. Emma is not missing a trick, even adorning a little boy’s nails with cars. How sweet? To see more cute and great art check out Boom Nails here.
