Rihanna launches fashion-inspired reality show

Rihanna seems to be sinking her teeth well into the fashion industry, following her recent collaboration with Armani, and designing a range for River Island. The Bajan songstress and fashionista muse has now been asked to have her own reality show Styled to Rock which sees 12 aspiring designers compete over a 12-week period to design a bespoke stage outfit for the star. She has reeled in her trendy celebrity friends to help judge and mentor on the show, including her best pal Katy Perry and a few Brits including Cheryl Cole, Pixie Lott, Rizzle Kicks, Little Mix and Tinchy Stryder.

Calvin Harris, who Rihanna collaborated with on We Found Love, has created and produced the music for the British hairdresser Nicky Clarke, and his team will be creating the overall looks for the designer to showcase their outfits each week.

The contestants will need to design a number of jaw dropping outfits suitable for Rihanna’s high profile appearances such as red carpet events, photo shoots and live stage performances. The winning designer will see their creation worn by Rihanna at her biggest London gig. 

The series lasts for ten weeks and will be on Sky Living HD from 14^th August. We’re definitely keeping our eyes peeled for this one!
