The 2010 X Factor winner Matt Cardle returns back on the scene with new single It’s Only Love. Distinctly forgettable and shapeless, Cardle’s latest single sees him soup up the schmaltz with film-score strings and plenty of grandiose piano riffs. Pristine production and full bodied choruses are quality raw ingredients, however, these are offset by grating vocals. Unfortunately, It’s Only Love is magic-free and mawkish. A singer with such potential shouldn’t have settled for a single as average as this.

It’s Only Love is released on 29th October 2012 along with his new album Fire. For further information or to order the album visit Matt Cardle’s website here.
