St Martin-in-the-Fields to transform into Lost Oasis summer garden with food, sport and music on Trafalgar Square

A new summer-long event called Lost Oasis will open at St Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square this June, transforming the historic site into an urban garden with food, drink, sport screenings, comedy and live music. The concept has been created in collaboration with The Lost Gardens of Heligan (part of the Eden Project) and treehouse design specialists Blue Forest, aiming to provide Londoners and visitors with an open-air venue for the warmer months in one of the capital’s most iconic locations.

The transformation will reimagine the church grounds as a green space inspired by the Cornish landscape, bringing rural Cornwall to the heart of town. Alongside what promises to be a vibrant green ambience, there is catering and entertainment scheduled throughout to appeal to a range of revellers.

The culinary programme will feature a series of chef residencies, with Adam Handling and Sally Abé among those confirmed. The Cornish Orchards Kitchen will also host appearances from industry names including Nathan Outlaw, Simon Stallard, Jordan Bailey and Emily Scott. Cocktails for the residency will be handpicked by Portia Freeman.

Sport will form a significant part of the programme, with screenings planned for the FIFA World Cup, the Wimbledon finals and the Formula 1 British Grand Prix – plus special guest linked to the World Cup screenings is expected to be announced soon. An exciting variety of live music is being curated by Sofar Sounds, with a comedy line-up also to be confirmed.

Drinks will revolve around themed bar concepts such as the Mud Maid Bar and a cider pour-your-own tree installation. Confirmed partners include Casamigos Tequila, Chapel Down, Cloudy Bay, Cornish Orchard, DoubleDutch, Edinburgh Gin, Fever Tree, Gypsy Hill Brewing Co, Heineken, Ninetimes, Rosaluna, Rosemullion, Sipsmith, Taittinger and Whispering Angel. Brickell’s Ice Cream will also be available all summer long.

Lost Oasis will run for almost three months across the peak of season. More programme details, including additional guest announcements and ticketing information are available via the event’s official website.
