Jewellery with a New York twist

The brand a.v. max was brought to the world in 1998 by fabulous fashionista Amy Vennema, and has continued to grow as one of the leading accessory brands in the jewellery industry. The company has embraced contact with various publications and clientele in order to become more than just a regular jewellery line. Instead, the brand has become a personality, which can be worn by trendsetters internationally.

Amy takes inspiration from New York City in order to create her cultural pieces. New York is a constantly evolving city where new cultures, beliefs and ideas are consumed by people on a daily basis; this is what adds the spark to the famous city. Amy tackles the fast-paced ways of the city and interprets them into her innovative designs. The fact that Amy incorporates different, deeper aspects of New York into her pieces adds to the excitement and diversity of them. As well as drawing inspiration from the wild streets of America, Amy takes ideas from runway shows and magazines, adding to the authenticity of the remarkable brand.

With such a variety of items sold, there is most definitely a piece of jewellery for every style out there. Here at The Upcoming, we have picked a few pieces, which have caught our eye. Firstly, we think the Braided Vinyl Knot Bracelet is an accessory that can’t go amiss in your wardrobes: the colours are great and the price is even better at £28. Secondly, we love the Semi Front Necklace, as it’s a stunning item to save for those special nights out with your girlfriends – it holds colour and excitement. Last but not least, we adore the Mini Neon Cord Drop Earrings as they are so fun and eclectic. There are plenty more items, so take a look for yourself!

If you’re interested in purchasing one of these culturally inspired pieces then head over to the a.v. max website by clicking here.
