She’s been the subject of much unwanted discussion lately due to speculation over her slender frame, but here’s some news I’m sure Alexa Chung won’t mind us talking about. The fashionista and all-round It-girl can now add being the face of Maje to her extensive and impressive list of achievements.

Chung is the face of their autumn/winter 2012 collection, which was shot in the romantic city of Paris. Photographer Glen Luchford’s choice of destination was Porte des Lilas metro station in the capital. The black and white images are very artistic and cinematic, and are meant to reflect the stills of a 1960s film. Chung plays an elegant yet edgy heroine.

Chung’s career seems to be going from strength to strength in recent years. The former model really got a taste for fame when she landed a job co-hosting Pop World. She has since been involved in numerous television shows as well as keeping up her modelling career, even walking the catwalk for Vivienne Westwood in her 2009 London Fashion Week showcase. As if that wasn’t enough, next year she will be adding another string to her bow when her fashion and style book is released.
