Sustainable style is something that is becoming increasingly popular in this day and age, with up-and-coming designers putting their own stylish spin on ethical creative processes. In complete homage to this, a quaint, abstract setting in Old Street, East London, has become home to the Pure Thread pop-up boutique. In a showcase of all things “natural”, the event brings together some of the best sustainable brands in the world for London to see.

The event, which runs until 26th October, sees the likes of Beautiful Soul and Ada Zanditon display their amazing creations to the public, as well as introducing other new and exciting designers to such an interesting platform. From t-shirts dug out the ground to handbags made from ring-pull cans, designers have moved into whole new extremes to turn sustainable into chic. Jeans by the popular Monkee Jeans are also on show, as well as more unusual but completely adorable coats by German ethical label Raffauf Rainwear, whose spring/summer 2013 collection displays an urban outdoor collection.

Organic skincare even manages to make an appearance, with Nourish skincare products being showcased alongside the beautiful garments. The products use natural ingredients to optimise your skin’s health and somehow manage to work in perfect harmony with the sustainability of the clothing. Sounds like the perfect duo, right?

The overall impact of the event opens up a whole new side to the world of fashion, and it is something that we will definitely be backing in the months to come.
