The Covent Garden Hotel became an accessory dreamland on Thursday morning as the likes of Fossil, Michael Kors, Adidas and Marc Jacobs showcased their new collections.

The theme for the new season is all about layering. Whether it was jewellery or watches, it seemed that each brand had their own independent take on the trend. Smaller watch faces featured throughout all of the designs in order to team timepieces with the current and future trend of bracelet layering. Necklaces were more intricate and delicate in order to wear for a similar effect and remodelled versions of old classics were brought back into a more modern, stylish light. We absolutely adored the infamous tortoise shell signature watches from the Michael Kors collection, as well as the use of rose gold in many of his pieces.

Fossil also presented their own delightful line of accessories alongside their watch and jewellery pieces. Vintage seemed to be the theme throughout, with signature Fossil bags taking a somewhat aged, rustic look. Natural colours have been used with tans and peaches, and stones used in purses, clutches and cosmetic bags for an ultimate finished look. Bursts of lime and corals were used in order to give bigger, canvas bags a more summery feel and worked perfectly with floral vintage prints in a host of different shapes.

Staying true to their roots, Fossil managed to give a lovely take on their SS13, and there are certainly some watches that are must-haves for the new year.
