Would you describe your style as vintage? Or do you dress reminiscent of previous eras? If you do, then Johnny Was is the answer to your vintage style. Johnny Was was originally a store that was located in Santa Monica Place and owned by Eli Levite, who came up with the genius idea of The Johnny Was Collection that started in 1987. This was about capturing elements of vintage clothing with a modern twist, with the perfect balance of traditional and change. The birth of the brand is the Johnny Was Collection and now Eli Levite also welcomes other brands. All the brands have the representation of the modern gypsy and vintage style. Johnny Was Collection

The Johnny Was Collection is designed by the one and only Biya Rammer. Inspirations for her designs are driven from travelling around the world and experiencing different cultures. This enables her to create vintage-inspired separates for the woman who loves modern bohemian style.

The collection is full of beautiful vintage pieces that are made from luxurious fabrics that are easy to care for. Each garment has beautiful prints and embroidery. Fabrics like silk twill, airy cotton voile and washable rayon georgette have been used, which are deluxe. What separated the Johnny Was Collection in the fashion industry is the fact that passion has gone behind the creativity of choosing the right fabrics to design individual pieces. So get ready to experience colourful garments in beautiful silhouettes and unique designs. So if you’re a confident woman, then this collection is for you. JWLA 4

The JWLA is known as the Californian Chic T-shirt Collection. A vintage-inspired stream runs through this collection. This brand is reminiscent of the 70s era and style. This includes beautiful embroidery in bold, vibrant colours on the classic American t-shirt.  JWLA has attracted a following from around the world due to its handcrafted appeal on its individual garments.

Although known for its classic t-shirt, the brand has taken it further by introducing new intricate separates like feminine dresses, warm hoodies, knit coats and knit tunics. This collection is perfect for the laidback creative who loves the California surfer chic look! 4 LOVE AND LIBERTY 3

This Christmas, spoil yourself and your loved one with modern vintage and bohemian-inspired pieces; it’s perfect for the vintage obsessed.
