Getting in touch with your earthy side with Georgia Varidakis Jewellery

Georgia Varidakis Jewellery transports you into a fantastical sea-inspired jewellery box filled with sparkly stones, seahorse pendants and coral reef necklaces.  The line draws inspiration from nature and the past, where each design is dainty and romantic. Each piece is hand-crafted in her workshop in New York.  “There is a quixotic elegance to her pieces, both feminine and sweet, yet bold and as solid as the metals she works with. Georgia’s mission is to search for forgotten treasures that can inspire new designs, fresh and original in their concept.” feb15_047

Her line has several different collections. Each one has inspiration drawn from nature and cast into brilliant one-of-a-kind pieces you won’t see everywhere else.  The Fauna collection includes a white, bronze Seahorse Heart Pendant, Bunny Head Stud earrings, and the first in a new series (the Bitten Series) in the Fauna collection, the Alligator Necklace (£83), which features an alligator head taking a big bite of the chain. All made from solid brass! It’s definitely a statement piece. newfccuff2

We also love the Earth collection. There are really beautiful, one-of-a-kind, small raw geodes set in sterling silver earring settings.  Fan coral cuffs, necklaces and brooches cast from fan coral in a variety of metals are all plated in 14ct gold. The stunner piece is absolutely the Fan Coral Cuff I (£559) featuring seven small diamonds strewn through in this adjustable fit, 14ct gold-plated cuff.  For those of you looking for something a little more modestly priced, there are plenty to choose from in one of her many other stunning collections.
