Based in Glasgow, the Deborah Murdoch jewellery collection is a bewildering array of stunning pieces. Despite their simplicity, they still make for key pieces to finish off an outfit. Screen Shot 2013-01-16 at 18.28.00

As a graduate with a BA in Jewellery Design and Manufacture, Deborah now designs her own handmade items in her studio. Her inspiration comes from a blend of influences that range from ethnic cultures to art nouveau and historical objects. The artistic freedom of her work has led to her winning the Goldsmith’s Precious Award, Walsh Designer of Excellence and Arts Trust of Scotland Award. Screen Shot 2013-01-16 at 18.27.19

Deborah’s designs mainly consist of simplistic pieces that are made of silver and feature precious stones. Her unique twists on the most basic of designs turn them into miracle staple pieces that sing out “elegance”, and elegant they are. Deborah’s stunning designs are perfect to instantly class up any outfit and add that touch of “celebrity charity gala” glamour. The contemporary pieces also have a subtle feel of romance, adding character to the dainty and delicate collection. Screen Shot 2013-01-16 at 18.27.45

The Gift of Time Silver Twisted Dome Ring is just an example of the delicate and contemporary twist that the designer has used on such an extravagant piece. As well as this, pieces such as the One of a Kind Aquamarine Stone Ring or the Rhodolite Stone Bangle, will all automatically add some character and personality to an outfit. Screen Shot 2013-01-16 at 18.27.00

As well as a wide female target audience, some of the jewellery by Deborah can be worn by males. The unisex pieces such as the Gift of Time Black Onyx Stone Bracelet and the Quartz Stone Stretch Bracelet are perfect for you to share with your partner! (A man in jewellery can be quite sexy…) Screen Shot 2013-01-16 at 18.26.42

So what are you waiting for? Head over to Deborah Murdoch’s site now, where you can purchase the most luxurious key pieces that make excellent presents for loved ones, or maybe even yourself? Hint hint…
