Soomin scarves: what’s your story?

Soomin is a luxury accessories label majoring in silky scarves and was launched in 2011 by Korean born, Australian bred Elizabeth Soomin Yow.

Soomin Scarves

Having lived in colourful places like Sydney, France and now London, Elizabeth had some inspirational experiences to draw upon. “Soomin is a fresh alternative in a world of fast fashion and mass production”.

Each piece has its own story to tell and is part of a limited edition collection, as only 100 of each designs are ever made.

“A fusion of old and new, Soomin strives to reinvent classic techniques through modern design. Featuring everything from embroidered motifs, textured weaving and hand-drawn illustrations”.

Soomin Scarves

Bold colours, and exquisite detail lend to a very unique effect. Elizabeth sites everything from painted ceilings, mosaics, orchids and even steak as sources of inspiration!

Four of her latest collections include Peacocks and Princesses, Mind Flash, Garden Romance, and Dance Kaleidoscope.

Soomin Nila clutch

Peacocks and Princesses can most notably be inspired by the beautiful greens, blues, and purples of a peacock. The Nila Clutch is a favourite in the line, featuring a textured metallic blue flap covering a bright blue purse paired with a delicate silver chain. Perfectly fit for a princess of course.

We also couldn’t get enough of the bright romantic pops of red and pink colour in the Garden Romance collection but it was her Dance Kaleidoscope collection that spoke to us!

Soomin Scarves

Her cool compilation of intricate metallic angel wing collars and unique silky scarves in brilliant colour combinations took Soomin accessories to the next level. We’ll take one of each please!
