Everyone knows super-foods are great for keeping your body healthy and for quickening your metabolic rate. But did you realise your hair and skin can benefit from them too?

SuperFoodLx, created and run by mother and daughter team Cherry Francis and Paula Kay, is a new hair and skincare cosmeceutical range. The brand specialises in organically perfumed skin correction formulas and hair growth using nutrient rich botanicals. The team explains: “There is no product that we would consider producing that would not make a genuine contribution to the health and beauty of your skin and hair.”

The key to SuperFoodLx products is that they contain natural, health-giving nutrients, which the body can easily recognise and absorb. The ingredients are also grown organically meaning there is no hidden nastiness. It is all good healthy stuff, maintaining SuperFoodLx´s simple philosophy of “integrity, purity, light and strength.

Using a vegetarian recipe from Norway, the brand has created two hair treatments; one for all types of damaged hair and another exclusively for processed or natural Afro hair types.

The Intelligence advanced hair nutrient complex strengthens hair, making it beautiful and strong and it also looks after your scalp too. The conditioner is combed through wet hair and left for five minutes or up to 60 minutes for a deep condition. For curly hair types, Intelligence can be left in overnight as a hair mask, while the Illuminism complex is soft white oil that’s a lifesaver for flat or very dry hair and promises to detox, invigorate and energise your locks from root to tip.

SuperFoodLx’s new website offers customers advice on their products, as well as beauty hints and tips, including information on what damages different hair types. There is also a free e-booklet to download on how to achieve perfect skin and the secrets to growing longer, stronger hair faster.
