High street brand Banana Republic and luxury designer brand Issa London are set to collaborate on a capsule-collection. Launching in the summer this limited and exclusive creation will see a 40-piece collection, incorporating the aesthetics of both brands.

Issa London's collaboration with Banana Republic (1)

Issa London shot to fame after Kate Middleton wore one of their designs as her engagement dress; we all remember that stunning royal blue number. The brand has already branched out this year, having formed a partnership with online store The Outnet and this new collaboration is set to improve its popular growth.

The inspirations for this collection stemmed from Banana Republic’s ‘safari heritage’ and African influences. Although there are no sample pieces as of yet, the sketches we’ve seen have revealed a sneak peak of what’s to come. It looks like we’re in for a parade of animal print, in the form of slinky maxis, wrap dresses and kimono inspired shapes. Oversized statement accessories are also set to be on the cards. We just can’t wait for this feminine and chic collection to arrive in stores in August 2013.

Banana Republic’s creative director Simon Kneen said: “We always love animal prints such as zebra and giraffe stripes.” He went on further to say: “Issa took that and modernised it. I love that the collection is our world and their world.” The prices will range from £25-£100, meaning we will all be able to dip into the exotic this summer.

We have a feeling that this high street/designer collaboration is going to be one of our favourites, roll on summer we can’t wait to wear these beauties!
