Press Day: La Perla heats up the colder months with a Spanish flair in their A/W ‘13 collection

The recent La Perla press preview showed their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection is going to be back with all the sexy summer heat of Spain. In a riot of colours and materials the ‘Duende‘ collection is certainly set to get pulses racing.

The main collection has truly brought the Spanish theme to its heart and this can be seen in the attention to detail displayed on the garments. The fabrics are inspired by flamenco dress, with spots and lace and embellished with macramé fans and embroidered tulle. Matador jackets have brought in tassels and roses while still staying delicate and feminine.

This is a word that sums up the whole of the collection, it is stunningly feminine and sexy without being risqué or cheap. Even the garments in the returning Black Label collection are still soft and seductive while being more ‘decorative’ than practical. This is most certainly bedroom wear, but garments that would make any woman feel special and sexy and sure to be appreciated by their partner too.

The Spanish theme has even been carried over to the swimwear collection this season with black garments being embellished by gold bead and stud work. The matching matador jacket is most certainly on our ‘to buy’ list, it’s beautiful.

The Villa Toscana range is aimed at a more mature market but isn’t ‘old fashioned’ in the slightest. The range carries the same colours as the other ranges but has a more practical and warm twist to it. With the weather in the UK as it is, this range most certainly isn’t just for older people, it’s for anyone who wants to stay warmer while still looking good.

On a more everyday and practical note, the new Studio La Perla collection brings garments that are as appealing to the eye as they are to the bank account. The range offers fashionable and affordable lingerie that does still have a sexy edge. This is going to be a big selling point for this range as it can be very difficult to find lingerie that is both comfortable AND sexy. Studio La Perla is set to be distributed throughout the world in leading department stores.
