We can’t believe it is nearly the end of May already; this year is just flowing past. The weather is perking up and holiday season is about to spring up on us. It is now that time of year when we start our annual ritual of gathering all of our holiday essentials for our pre-booked holidays or days to the beach. Here at The Upcoming, we love pinning ideas to our lists of favourite things and have devised the perfect must-haves for the holiday season.

1. Bikini, Topshop, £28

This candy-striped pastel pretty is a great piece to swim and sunbathe in. Such a sweet piece of swimwear and will make you stand out on any beach with its retro look.

2. Parasol, Cath Kidston, £30

Parasols are great for relaxing in the shade and stopping your picnic food from exploding in the heat. We love how pretty this Cath Kidston one is, and can’t wait to set up camp with this floral umbrella.

3. Sunglasses, Roses & Clementines, £15

We love these vintage pink-tinted sunnies; the flowers on the rims are adorable too. Sunglasses are essential for any holiday, so why not buy a pair as lovely as these.

These wedges are extremely comfortable and are easy to wear on a day-to-day basis. We like the Aztec theme and versatility of these shoes; they will literally go with anything.

5. Diani mini camera, Urban Outfitters, £50

If you are like us and spend all your time snapping and instagramming, then this mini camera is perfect for you. Producing the same dream-like quality images, this lomography camera would be great to make really memorable holiday pictures.

6. Hat, H&M, £4.99

How cute is this 100% straw hat? We think it is just the thing to keep our heads cool and burn free, whilst looking every so luxurious.  

7. Sun protection, P20, £13.29

If you are fussy about having to re-apply sun cream throughout the day, then this once-a-day protection would be your dream come true. With strong UVB and UVA filters, this product can keep your skin protected for up to 10 hours!

8. Lip balm, Figs & Rouge, £4.95

We often forget that lips need to be protected too. This natural and smooth balm will keep your lips hydrated during the sunny days. The scent of coco rose is also divine and leaves a subtle pink tint.

All you need now is a huge Mary Poppins bag to carry your essentials with you!
