Liz Earle MBE unveils “Second Chance” charity LiveTwice

Liz Earle MBE took centre stage at The Light Gallery on Tuesday night to unveil LiveTwice, a charity that offers opportunities to those living on the margins of society.

The prestigious event was attended by a host of glamorous faces, including fashion designer and model Jasmine Guinness and presenter and entrepreneurs Hannah White, Hofit Golan and Claire Merry.lizearle

With champagne and canapés flowing, British-born artist Charlie Mackesy treated an exclusive guest list to a private view of his resonating and moving paintings and sculptures. With drawings focusing on angels offering a helping hand, Liz Earle pointed to the caring message that filtered throughout Mackesy’s artwork, which perfectly captured the focus of the evening, offering hope to those who need it the most.

Founded on the Christian principles of “love thy neighbour”, Liz Earle’s venture is not just a hand-out; it provides essential practical skills and personal support to those in need. Jazz Drawing by Charlie Mackesy

Assisting those who are both oppressed or have taken a wrong turn in life, the charity works both at home in the UK as well as abroad, helping those of all ages to get a new start in life, whatever their background. Aiming to prevent the breakdown of individuals and families, LiveTwice particularly helps to break the cycles of poverty, unemployment and abuse, as well as offering care and practical support to the mentally and physically disabled.

With monthly donations starting as low as the price of a cup of coffee, LiveTwice also enables the donor to select the location or project they wish their money to go towards, adding a personal touch to the donation process.

“Over the years, my research and filming travels have taken me to people and places far and wide who are in desperate need of a helping hand. LiveTwice provides just that – with a hand up, not just a hand out,” Liz Earle states.

Not only the founder of LiveTwice, Earle is a global philanthropist, an ambassador for both The Princes Trust and The Sustainable Food Trust as well as an advocate of The Soil Association. Awarded an MBE by Her Majesty The Queen for services to business, Liz Earle also co-founded the Liz Earle Beauty Co., as well as being a former editor and author of over 30 books. With a backlog of success, it’s no surprise that LiveTwice is already helping to change the lives of both children and adults across the globe.
