The Hospital Club in Covent Garden played host to the launch party of Nosakhari’s beautiful Standout collection. Handmade to a high quality, the designs reflect the traditional beading styles of Nigeria, while remaining stunning pieces of fashion wear.nosakhari 1

Nosakhare Osadolor came to England from Nigeria several years ago and began beading in an attempt to create a scarf that could also be considered as jewellery. Taking cues from the traditional beaded wear worn by Nigerian royalty, the Nosakhari scarf was born and still remains a key piece in the collection.nosakhari 2

Each piece is designed in London and handmade in Nosakhare’s hometown in Nigeria at a dedicated design centre set up to help support local talent. The money generated by this project has a dramatic effect on the lives of the people, giving more hope and financial stability for the future. The pieces are then sent on to London where they are given their finishing touches.nosakhari 3

The collection is suitable for both men and women to wear, and adds a flash of style and dramatic flair to any outfit. There are four pieces that make up the collection: Nosakhari Skinny, Nosakhari Scarf, Nosakhari Snood and the Nosakhari Hoop, a piece that is a fusion of necklace and scarf.nosakhari 4

All the pieces are made from faceted beads and are available in five different shades: red, brown, black, gold and teal. These are certainly pieces that will never date and never go out of fashion; you are guaranteed to turn heads when you walk into a room wearing a Nosakhari.
