Swedish retailer & Other Stories has unveiled its new collaborative collection with US illustrator Alyson Fox, pioneering an eclectic display of geometric plumes and blockades of vibrant hits, lavished upon canvases of ready-to-wear separates and accessories – all stamped with less-than-mainstream pricing.

Serving under the H&M group, & Other Stories is somewhat of a sibling to the recognisable, red-and-white high-street corporate, delighting consumers with diversification within its collections, innovating them with technicality and precision. Consistently focusing upon clientele who shed a certain respect for fashion whilst yearning to evolve their style, the brand has announced its future aspirations of delivering partnership collections under the title of Co-labs, conjuring quirkier, conceptual designs invigorated by a varying medium of influential catalysts. Alyson Fox is the first personality to fulfill this collaborative role – the illustrator who is renowned for her specialism in producing art-fuelled pieces from paper, plaster and furniture, provides justification for apt anticipation in merging her compelling world into the Swedish brand’s garment aesthetics.ArticleOneImage

“Juxtaposition” is evidently an acting thematic throughout the capsule ensemble; this constant motion of back and forth, utilising mix-matched colours upon sombre canvases of neutral tones, providing the consumer with something quite interesting to envision, whilst collating with a number of seasonal trends. Bolds, brights and psychedelic sequences of geometric prints provides relative synopsis for the collection. Slouchy cropped tees, pleated midi-skirts, tassel-zipper clutch bags, neon bracelets, prominent brooches, cotton wrap-around scarves and dainty blazer pins – collectively sourcing colour-coding from the fashion week mantra to a fine extent.

Taking into account that this is the debut of Alyson Fox within a collaborative forum, the collection is tugging upon the success strings of previously seen partnerships by H&M. The line boasts this instant enviable likeability, conjured with ready-to-wear appeal, snagged with more than reasonable pricing. The facades are idyllic, youthful and strike resemblance to sightings within the luxury market, culminating their exteriors as more than just a wardrobe staple, whilst potentially transitioning consumers around the seasonal calendar.

The Alyson Fox Co-labs Collection is available now from the & Other Stories website or from the & Other Stories store at 256-258 Regent Street, London.
