Victoria Beckham set to launch mainline collection online

Victoria Beckham has revealed that she is set to add her mainline clothing collection to her online store, from January next year.

The British fashion designer broke the news to the press whilst holding appointments at the British Embassy in Paris, during this week’s Paris Fashion Week.

Victoria is making the move, following the incredible success her e-commerce store has already received since its launch in March earlier this year.

The online store currently only stocks clothing from the Victoria, Victoria Beckham line, and her Icons collections, which features dresses inspired by the label’s best-selling pieces.

Announcing the news that her much sought after mainline collection will be shortly made available on her online store, Victoria Beckham told Vogue: “I’m really excited to sell the mainline on our site – we don’t have a standalone store yet so my clothes are always sold by other people and I’m not always in control of who buys what or where – so now this is my edit of the collection and I’m happy to give people the opportunity to see the brand through my eyes.”

She went on to explain: “It’s only going on sale now online because as with all aspects of the business, I like to take baby steps and make sure everything is right. I always wanted to do the Icon collection and keep it really small, but now I have learned who my customer is and what she wants, so it was time to take it online and really answer to the great demand that we’ve had for it.”

Since debuting her first fashion range in 2008, Victoria has managed to win over fashion critics across the world, marking her place firmly in the high-fashion industry.

Looking into the future, it is clear that Victoria has her eyes set on building a stand-alone store, as every fashion designer rightly dreams of. Victoria was, however, slightly hesitant at giving away too much information to the press about her plans, coyly admitting: “We’re not saying when yet, but it will happen.”
