It is now confirmed: Lady Gaga will be the new face of the Versace S/S 2014 campaign. The official pictures for the adverts have been taken by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and feature the Poker Face singer in a violet dress on a sofa with long blonde hair.

Critics say the singer looks as if she was the identical twin of the fashion designer Donatella Versace. This is actually not that far from reality, as the fashion diva already treats Gaga like family:“I am honoured that my friend Lady Gaga is the face of our new Versace campaign. She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA,” said Donatella.

The rebellious Lady Gaga is equally excited about working for the luxury fashion house: “I’m so happy to be working w/ @Versace for the new Campaign! What do you wanna wear this Spring? #Donatella #famiglia,”she announced on Twitter a few days ago.

The collaboration could not be kept a secret for long, as the singer had a song titled Donatella on her latest album Artpop, which was released on 11th November 2013.

A few days later she was wearing a 1920s style Versace dress for her appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Kate Moss, Gisele Bündchen and Halle Berry are just some of the celebrities who have worked with the designer previously.
