Jimmy Choo launches bespoke bridal shoe collection

Iconic shoe design house Jimmy Choo has announced a made-to-order (MTO) service alongside its bridal range.

Founded in 1996 by Malaysian designer Jimmy Choo in partnership with Tamara Mellon, the editor of British Vogue Accessories, Jimmy Choo Ltd has achieved legendary status. Choo trained at Cordwainers Technical College in Hackney (since incorporated into the London College of Fashion), graduating in 1983. He went on to feature in Vogue, and subsequent patronage by Diana, Princess of Wales from 1990 onwards secured his designs as a must-have, aspirational product.

Sandra Choi, creative director at Jimmy Choo said: “Throughout the years at Jimmy Choo, we set out to maintain the same level of personalised service and attention to detail as when we were crafting shoes one pair at a time, for one client at a time.

“Bringing this made-to-order service directly to our customers in our stores allows us to faithfully preserve our heritage of personalisation, and allow every woman to have a bespoke pair of Jimmy Choo shoes.”

The MTO service is anticipated as being hugely popular with a high demand expected. Brides can choose from four styles of shoe to which a range of textures, colours and finishes can be used to fully personalise designs, with the option of having the soles monogrammed with dates, initials, and any other letters or numbers special to the day.

The bridal collection includes sandals, pumps and flats in a range of materials, as well as evening bags.
