The Londoner unveils Martinis & Fries menu for London Fashion Week in Leicester Square

Whitcomb’s, the Mediterranean restaurant at The Londoner hotel in Leicester Square, will launch a new early evening menu titled Martinis & Fries on Monday 16th February, to coincide with London Fashion Week. The range, available daily from 5pm to 7pm and priced at £14, aims to provide a central meeting place for those attending the week’s events, as well as visitors seeking a casual yet refined pre- or post-show meal in the heart of the West End.

The initiative responds to what organisers describe as “one of the season’s most talked-about food and beverage trends,” pairing a selection of martinis with matching servings of fries. Five unique combinations will be on offer, spanning both classic and contemporary flavours, and are designed to appeal to a variety of palates.

The pairings include the Slick Chick, featuring Belvedere vodka, redistilled Champagne and yuzu caviar, served alongside fries with chicken butter and crispy chicken flakes. Then there’s the Night Out, combining Four Pillars Pinot Noir gin with Martini Riserva Ambrato and frozen grape, accompanied by beer-battered fries and curry sauce, and The Zest, which uses Belvedere vodka infused with grapefruit and orange, citrus cordial, Noilly Prat and candied orange, paired with truffle and parmesan fries. Other options are the Smokin’ Hot, a mezcal-based cocktail with nduja and Frank’s Hot Sauce, Tio Pepe, La Tomato Liqueur and nduja olive, matched with loaded cheese and nduja fries, and the Classic Twist, a martini made with Bombay Sapphire gin, Cocchi Americano, saline solution and lemon jelly, served with sea salt fries and ketchup.

The Londoner in Leicester Square describes the new menu as an “adult meal deal” intended for fashion week meet-ups, after-hours drink and casual drop-ins. The property is owned by Edwardian Hotels London, which also operates The May Fair and The Edwardian Manchester. They have recently focused on boutique, high-end hospitality following a restructuring of their portfolio in 2024, earning several industry awards, including recognition from Condé Nast Traveller and the Hospitality Design Awards. The Londoner has positioned itself as a central location for major events in the capital, with its proximity to key venues and variety of dining options.

The Martinis & Fries menu will be available for the duration of London Fashion Week and is expected to attract both fashion industry attendees and members of the public seeking a themed dining experience in central London. Further information and booking details are available on The Londoner’s website.
