Vogue Runway has officially replaced style.com

Just last year it was announced the leaders of the style.com team would report back to Vogue, placing the prestigious Condé Nast fashion site firmly under the ever-growing Vogue umbrella. The style.com team shared a floor of the World Trade Centre with the Vogue digital team and it was apparent there was an overlap in the content the two sites were pushing.

On the 31st August the style.com site, known for fashion news, runway reports and archives, was closed and Vogue Runway was born. The Vogue Runway site carries the impressive archives boasted by style.com, dating back to 1991, as well as all the fashion news you would expect. The iPhone app has also been changed: it now alerts the consumer when a new collection drops and allows you to scroll through looks straight off the catwalk – a key app for any fashion follower not attending shows across fashion month.

Style.com is set to re-launch in fall as a Condé Nast fashion e-commerce site.
