London fashion brand Lazy Oaf is known for its playful and colourful imagery, often inspired by icons of our childhood and unforgettable cartoon characters, with archives including a wide spectrum of collaborations, from the Looney Tunes to Garfield and Batman.

Illustrations and strong graphic prints are certainly key words for this brand born from the stalls of Spitalfields Market, from the talented hands of Gemma Shield, who has decided to dedicate this season’s collection to Casper the Friendly Ghost.

The collection went on sale on 1st October, and it’s a monochrome love letter to one of our favorite childhood characters – and Christina Ricci’s awkward best friend and love interest. For this collaboration, Shield had the chance to access the Dreamworks archives, an irresistible source of inspiration which includes comic strips and covers from the 50s.

Highlights of the range include the Friendly Dead Shirt, created in cotton with embellished-felt Casper patches, embroidered scripture and a detachable satin bow and the Sheer Smock Dress with Casper motifs, along with the Polka Dot Sweater Dress and the unmissable Casper Backpack.

Many beautiful ruffles and see-through fabrics are present in this soft and nostalgic collection, which is certain to be a hit with Lazy Oaf and Casper fans alike.
