It’s just a matter of days before the Balmain x H&M collection we all have been waiting for will be available, but looks like that’s not the only surprise from the H&M Group.

Fashion’s favorite high street brand, & Other Stories, has announced its first collaboration with another massive fashion house: Rodarte, the US brand created by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy. Since founding the label in 2005, they have already received great success, including presenting their collections at New York Fashion Week and working on Hollywood film Black Swan.

Managing director of & Other Stories, Samuel Fernström, says this collaboration will represent an important step for the Swedish brand: “With Rodarte’s strong co-lab collection we’re adding a new LA-infused perspective to our selection and bringing inspiration and ideas to encourage all personal styles, or stories”.

The capsule collection will be available to buy both in store and online next spring. It will include ready-to-wear pieces, shoes and accessories ranging from $29 for a pair of tights to $325 for a sequin dress. From the teaser image released, which shows a pair of silver and red glitter peep-toe heeled sandals worn with a pair of tights, we can imagine this is going to be a very fun collection that will focus on unexpected contrasts.

“Through this special collaboration with & Other Stories, we are excited to translate the Rodarte narrative into a new environment,” said the Rodarte designer duo. “& Other Stories’ unique positioning in the fashion landscape has allowed us to create a truly special collection.”
