Models like Cara Delevingne have really put the spotlight on eyebrows in recent years. The overly plucked look is history; the bushier the better! Okay, maybe don’t take it that far but don’t shy away from showing your brows a little extra love. They can really make or break a look. Here are our tips for creating the perfect eyebrows.

Shaping your brows

To create the perfect eyebrows you need to find the shape that works for your face. You might be tempted to copy the brows of a celebrity or a beauty guru but it is important to keep in mind that not every brow shape works for every face shape. In general it is wise to follow the natural shape of your brow as it looks the most natural. Use a brush to comb the hairs upwards to find the natural starting point of your eyebrow and pluck all hairs that fall outside it to create a shape that suits your face. Don’t take it any further! Plucking your eyebrows can be very addictive to some but thin brows can make you look a lot older.

Stencils

It doesn’t end at plucking, however. Often your brows can use a little extra to make them pop, whether it be a bit of powder or an eyebrow pencil. If you do not have a steady hand there is an easy way to cheat: brow stencils. You can get a collection of stencils online at Amazon, but some eyebrow kits also come with stencils. Dye

Dyeing your hair is a completely commonplace thing to do these days but people often forget how important the interplay between your hair and eyebrows is.
