Misha Collection spring/summer 2017 catwalk show for NYFW
The new Misha collection began with a lace top paired with a flamingo skirt, followed by a black-and-white strapless dress. The strapless dress formed a curtain-like design at the bottom and had matching sleeves beginning at the elbow region and flaring out around the wrist. The back of the dress revealed just enough to keep it sexy and classy simultaneously. The same strapless designs appeared throughout the entire collection and were often matched with an all-white belt to separate the tube top from a tutu skirt.
Some crisscross patterns, added down the sides of short party dresses, and a hint of fur attached to the sleeves made the sophisticated pieces more fun and youthful. The youthful sensation continued with a midnight-inspired material: a sparkly texture and glow used to create a few pieces in the collection.
When the red scene unfolded, girls were covered in red including all-red shoes, and matching gloves with the front of the hand opened. The most fascinating piece was a loose-fitting black blouse, revealing the entire middle portion of the model’s body. At the top, there was a large bow, and full-length sleeves gathering tightly at the wrist, while the same concept in the back trickled into a high-waisted moonlight-coloured pant set. Other metallic fixtures were paired with a matte leather top that fit like a blazer, and tied on the side.
Model Jourdan Dunn also fit a metallic robe-like creation that dragged upon the ground, as the waist was slenderised with a thick metallic belt, and a matching bow on her neck. The dress split just below the hip. The asymmetrical leather dresses and pops of colour allowed the Misha collection more diversity and energy.
