Nocturnal Animals premiere: A chat with Tom Ford, Amy Adams, Armie Hammer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ellie Bamber

This evening we spoke to some of the stars at the London premiere of Tom Ford’s second film, Nocturnal Animals, at Odeon Leicester Square. Amy Adams, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Armie Hammer, Ellie Bamber and Tom Ford graced the red carpet along with movie and fashion world legends like Colin Firth and Valentino.

We spoke to Aaron Taylor-Johnson about how he got into the head of a psychopath to play his role, and about how being directed by a designer-director was different to working with other kinds of filmmakers.

Tom Ford talked about our “throw-away” culture and how that plays into the film, his style as a director and why he couldn’t have made this film seven years ago.

Amy Adams discussed the challenges she faced in playing her character, what she hopes people will take away from the movie and what it was like working with Tom Ford.

Armie Hammer spoke about the delight that was being directed by Tom Ford with his acute attention to detail, and how much he loves London and the BFI.

Ellie Bamber explained what it was like to work with Tom Ford and how happy she is to have the film having its premiere in London, her hometown.
