Cabaret stars lead cast of immersive Chat Noir! as Lost Estate production opens this March

The Lost Estate has announced the cast for Chat Noir!, its newest large-scale immersive theatre production opening in West Kensington on 24ᵗʰ March 2026.

The show draws inspiration from the legendary Parisian cabaret club Le Chat Noir, widely regarded as the birthplace of modern cabaret. Set in Montmartre in 1896, the production invites audiences to step into the world of the historic venue for what is imagined as the final and most extravagant cabaret staged by its real-life founder, Rodolphe Salis.

Leading the cast is cabaret performer Joe Morose as Salis. Often described as the “Dandy King of Cabaret”, Morose has spent more than a decade performing across London’s cabaret scene and previously collaborated with The Lost Estate on 58th Street and Paradise Under the Stars.

He is joined by burlesque artist Coco Belle, multi-disciplinary performer and magician Neil Kelso, mime and physical theatre artist Alexander Luttley and performer Issy Wroe Wright, alongside the troupe of musicians Les Enfants Vagabondes. Each performer portrays historical figures associated with the Belle Époque cultural scene, bringing to life artists who once appeared at the original Montmartre venue.

The production aims to recreate the atmosphere of late 19ᵗʰ-century Paris, where bohemian artists and aristocrats famously mingled. Audiences are invited to spend the evening inside Salis’s cabaret as music, theatre and performance unfold around them.

Executive producer and Lost Estate co-founder Eddy Hackett said the company assembled “a company drawn from the very forefront of the world’s cabaret performers”, with artists selected for their ability to inhabit the historical setting as fully as possible.

Chat Noir! continues The Lost Estate’s approach to large-scale “world-building” live experiences that combine music, theatre, design and hospitality into a single immersive environment. The company’s previous productions have transported audiences to settings including 1930s New York jazz clubs and Victorian London salons.

Chat Noir! opens in West Kensington on 24ᵗʰ March 2026. Tickets and further information are available at chatnoirlondon.com.
